This will be our final posting on this blog. Now that we have moved in and our celebrating our first Christmas we would just like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
This blog will stay up as long as time allows and is meant to serve two purposes:
1. To allow our family, and in particular our children, to see how our new house came to be. We are not sure how the internet will evolve in the future but the hope is that this can be shared with family through the years.
2. To share the 6 months on how our house came to be with everyone. Building a house takes time, effort, energy and the love of a project. So if you are interested, then please look back on this blog and if you have questions email us and we will try and help.
To all, thank you and stay tuned as we await our next adventure.
Another Chapter in the Journey: Building the Wendling Home

It is Finished
The journey to build the new Wendling home began many years ago when Rosanne dreamt of building a home on the East Side of Port Colborne - near the school went and near her mom's home.
Later after seeing the land and doing some research Kevin and Rosanne were eventually able to buy the land while living in South Korea.
Four years after that, with the help of Rijuis Home Design and Lucchetta Homes the dream came to life and now just a few days before Christmas the Wendling family is seeing the fruits of many hours, days, weeks and months of labour.
Our home is complete and during the Christmas holidays the Wendling's will be moving from one part of Elizabeth St. to another .
The house with its kitchen:
staircase:
beautiful windows:
bedrooms for the kids:
master bedroom
en suite bathroom (very unique):
garage:
laundry room:
and many other aspects:
is truly a beautiful home that will hopefully serve the Wendling's for a very, very, very long time.
We would like to thank Rob and Ed for all of their hard work and leadership and all of the various trades and workers who have help to make our dream a reality.
As you can see from the pictures we have a beautiful house for our family - a place that we can truly call our home.
